RPM Pickup
Description
The RPM Pickup is a rotational speed (rev-count) sensor which is easy to install. It is designed for the PowerBox SparkSwitch Pro, for use with ignition units with an inaccurate or absent rev-count output.
Installation is quick and simple: the sensor lead attached to the RPM Pickup is simply wound round one of the ignition system’s high-voltage leads. The field strength of the high voltage is sufficient to supply accurate rotational speed information to the sensitive detector in the RPM Pickup. The unit can be used with all types of engine - two-stroke and four-stroke.
The RPM Pickup is connected to the output of the SparkSwitch Pro using a Y-lead.
